Other comments

Wide specificity. Also catalyzes transphosphorylations.

Class A bacterial acid phosphatases are a family of related periplasmic enzymes. This family currently consist of:

- Morganela morganii major phosphate-irrepressible acid phosphatase;
- Providencia stuartii and Salmonella typhimurium nonspecific acid phosphatase;
- Zymomonas mobilis acid phosphatase.

As a signature pattern, it has been selected the most conserved region, a perfectly conserved octapeptide located in the central region of these enzymes.Como assinatura de reconhecimento, foi selecionada a região mais ocnservada, um octapeptídeo perfeitamente conservada na região central da enzima.
