| Prokaryotic
and eukaryotic 6PGD are proteins of about 470 amino acids whose sequence
are highly conserved. As a signature pattern, it was selected a region
which has been shown, from studies of the sheep 6PGD tertiary structure,
to be involved in the binding of 6-phosphogluconate. |
